Education is key to success requiring thousands of dollars and hours of positive contact with humans. Wild horses need a chance to reach their full potential through expensive professional training. Windhorse Relations™ has designed a program where the mustangs move through five levels of education. At level two, as "working students", Windhorse Mustangs become teachers and begin giving back.

Your Windhorse Relations™ Sponsorship dollars will create:

  • A new expanded image of the American Wild Horse
  • Each horse will influence thousands of Americans during its' career.
  • As ambassadors, the Windhorse herd will open up new careers for more Mustangs that need homes and education

LEVEL I : Recently Adopted Wild Horses

  • "Gentling" Process
  • Creating a safe environment for a willing relationship
  • Provided by professionals

A unique aspect of our Level I Windhorse Relationship™ training is that the horses choose to be with us first. Mary Lee gentles the horses without haltering or roping the wild horses. This is an important ingredient in all our training: the freedom of choice.

LEVEL II : Mustangs As Teachers

  • Gentling process continues as the mustangs participate in M.E.E.T.Where Heart Meets Horse™ programs
  • Transforming fear into curiosity
  • Mustangs become "working students"

LEVEL III : Mustangs Teach While Learning Groundwork

  • Extensive groundwork training
  • Building resiliency in humans and horses through trust and confidence
  • Equine assisted therapy

LEVEL IV : Basic Mounted Work

  • Mustangs continue to partner in trainings with special needs participants
  • Preparation for a mounted career
  • Provide experience for "working" riding students

LEVEL V : Mustangs Go To College

  • Refined mounted work and special talents
  • Mustangs as ambassadors
